Board of Trustees
The 2012-2013 Randolph College Board of Trustees consists of twenty-five individuals who have a strong commitment to the College. This group is made up of eighteen women and seven men. The female Trustees are alumnae of the College and represent various classes from 1960 through 1996. The Board comes from diverse geographical areas in the United States, with approximately half living in the South, and represent a wide variety of professions, including artists, business persons, educators, and lawyers, with a number of Trustees having direct higher education experience.

The Office of the President

The president of Randolph College serves as the chief executive officer and as such is the educational and administrative head with general supervisory authority over all the affairs of the College. He or she is appointed by the Board of Trustees, reports to the Board and serves at its pleasure. The president is an ex-officio but non-voting member of the Board of Trustees.

Senior Administration

Randolph College’s senior administration team is composed of the senior executive officers of the following departments and/or areas of the College: Academic Affairs, Enrollment, Finance and Administration, Institutional Advancement, College Relations, Student Affairs, Office of the President, Alumnae and Alumni Relations, and the Office of Institutional Research, Planning, and Assessment.

Past Presidents

Randolph College has had nine presidents since its founding as Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in 1891 by William Waugh Smith.
