Announcement of the Presidential Search Committee Chair

Dear Randolph Community,

Randolph College has benefited from the leadership of President John E. Klein the past five years, and we look forward to the continued achievement and progress of the College as he finishes his presidency during the next academic year. Meanwhile, we must begin the process of finding the right person to serve as the College’s 10th president. After consulting with chair-elect of the Board Becky Dunn ’70, we are pleased to announce that Tom Faulders, vice chair of the Randolph College Board of Trustees, has agreed to serve as the chair of the Presidential Search Committee.

Tom is an integral part of the Randolph College Board of Trustees leadership team. He began his service on the Board in 2004. Most recently, Tom served as the chair of the Strategic Planning Task Force, a committee that updated the College’s current strategic plan. Under Tom’s leadership, the strategic planning process was an inclusive one, and I know Tom will work to ensure that this search process is also inclusive of varying perspectives and constituencies.

In the near future, we will announce the appointment of members of the Presidential Search Committee. The Committee will be composed of Trustees or Trustees Emeritae/i, faculty members, staff members, and students.

Choosing the next leader of Randolph College is a critical task, and I thank Tom for his willingness to lead the process. I look forward to sharing with you more news about the presidential search.

Sincerely,

Lucy W. Hooper ’73
Chair
Randolph College Board of Trustees
